Baby Leonid was born on the seventh of April at 9:27am weighing 4.2 kilos, 52cm long
He is already a champion sleeper and feeder and his big brother Maksim is totally in awe of him. We have been spending lots of time just loving him.
While I was in hospital I really wanted to take some special simple pictures of my little man to remember his first moments, so before he was born I did a little research on newborn photography and created a Photography Board on Pinterest you can check out here with lots of photography hints for newborns and lots more.
Here are the 5 tips I took with me:
1. Keep the flash off, 2. remove any clutter from around the baby, 3. get up close, 4. Open all the blinds to get as much natural light as possible, 5. Keep it simple, don’t bother with any props or fancy outfits just capture your baby in all their newborn splendour.

Hi there, what beautiful, beautiful shots. I never even thought to take really special shots of my babies and now I wish I had. I have some shots of them all swaddled and snoozing, and lots of the twins sleeping together, but not these sorts of shots – what a loss!! He is divine.
